Legend of Korra OC: Fei Cheng

A proper ref sheet for Fei and Tamsin

I aways knew that if I'd live as a bender in the Avatar-universe, I'd be an earthbender. Earth is my element and that's why I chose this element for my original character as well!
I tried to make her design as canon as possible, and I did a lot of research when I made her. I also threw in some traits that my characters typically have, like her beautymark and gnawed-off ear. When it comes to her name I chose a typical Chinese name, because Ba Sing Se resembles China in many ways

Tamsin is a pure product of my imagination due to my lazyness. Her original transport and partner was going to be a skunkbear, but I was too lazy and stubborn to learn bear anatomy :'D SO HE IS AN ORIGINAL SPECIES

Physical apperance: tall with very long limbs and small waist. Very steady on her feet.
Personality: Somewhat naive and childish, even though she is pretty sharp and very patient. She has a good heart and good intentions, but can sometimes be a bit too blunt. Believes that what will be, will be.

Background story

Fei was born into the middle class of Ba Sing Se where she still lives with her mother and father. Her father was a successful business man who sold expensive decorative items, so their small family had the money they needed to get through the day.

Because her mother was a skillful earthbender and stayed at home, Fei learned to master basic tactics and skills at a young age. This was what she spent most of her time with; practicing earthbending. It got to the point where she turned down playing with other kids so she could be with her mother instead, and that made her slightly awkward around people. It however left her with a very strong bond to her family.

The day Fei turned 7, her father came home leading a young reinhorse colt, and told her his name was Tamsin. He said that if she was willing to help out around his store, she would be allowed to keep the tiny colt.

For the longest time, Tamsin and Fei were bitter enemies. Their mutal stubborn-ness was causing trouble between them when Fei was trying to break Tamsin in. He didn't want to be saddled up and he didn't want the reins to be tied to his antlers, so he answered to this by bucking, kicking and bolting.
One day it got to the point where he ripped off a small part of Fei's left ear. Her father threatened to put him to sleep, but no matter how bitter the enemies they were, Fei would never want such a thing, and after a day of begging, she got another chance to tame Tams, and by dropping saddle, reins, bridles and blankets, she had him broken in by the month, and a beautiful friend and partnership was about to begin.
